At the heart of the holiest Islamic city, Makkah Royal Clock Tower brings an air of modernization to the bustling historic center of Mecca. The tower was developed as a component of the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project and provides comfortable accommodations for devout Muslims that make the journey to the city every year during the Hajj period. It is conveniently located adjacent to the Grand Mosque, which can accommodate up to two million worshippers over the course of the event.
Since this tower serves as one of the faces of the holiest city, Makkah, its appearance should be maintained so as the structural design. EDGE was given the opportunity to participate in the maintenance of this tower.
EDGE used its state-of-the-art expertise in inspection and facade cleaning to the tower to make sure that the operations was kept going while doing the works. The works were done in the safest way using Rope Access Techniques to protect the pilgrims, occupants, and the other properties from any possible risks or harm.
